Volunteer: Harvesting at the Urban Garden CenterMonday (Open to All Volunteers): Meet directly at the UH Urban Garden Center to harvest fresh fruits and produce. New and returning volunteers are welcome. Gloves and harvesting gear will be provided. Tuesday (Returning Volunteers Only): This shift is for volunteers who have previously volunteered at the UH Urban Garden Center. Continue harvesting fruits and produce while assisting with more independent tasks. Please return all gear at the end of your shift. Harvested produce is transported to The Pantry after Tuesday's harvest and distributed to the community This is a physically demanding shift that requires standing, bending, twisting, and spending prolonged periods outdoors (up to 3 hours). To ensure your comfort and safety, please come prepared with: Sunscreen Closed-toed shoes (required)Long pants Hat Snack / waterBe ready to get your hands dirty and make a meaningful impact at the Urban Garden Center! We recommend wearing clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, as conditions may vary with weather. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Please let us know in advance if you require any mobility or accessibility accommodations.
