Volunteer: 7/11 Golf Fundraiser

Help make this exciting community fundraiser a success! Volunteers will support the event at Mid-Pac Country Club Golf Course throughout the day by assisting with a variety of tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

Assist with event set-up and break-down Distribute beverages and snacks to participants Supervise designated holes along the course Provide general event support as needed

We are looking for volunteers who are comfortable being active to assist with food distribution. Please consider coming in to volunteer with us!

Volunteer assignments:

Pre-loading Produce: Loading fresh produce/dairy/bread into shopping carts.

Running Orders: Retrieving client orders from warehouse shelves.

Warehouse Support: Help us load shelves and make boxes for clients' orders. 

Bagging Produce: Placing fresh produce into individual bags for distribution. 

Shopping: Custom-pack client orders for the upcoming distribution day.


Ages 15+ may volunteer independently with a signed parental/guardian liability waiver.

Volunteers ages 12–14 must be accompanied by an adult, with a maximum ratio of 3 youth per adult. Volunteers ages 15 and older may participate independently with a signed parental/guardian liability waiver.

Monday (Open to All Volunteers): Meet directly at the UH Urban Garden Center to harvest fresh fruits and produce. New and returning volunteers are welcome. Gloves and harvesting gear will be provided.

Tuesday (Returning Volunteers Only): This shift is for volunteers who have previously volunteered at the UH Urban Garden Center. Continue harvesting fruits and produce while assisting with more independent tasks.

Please return all gear at the end of your shift. Harvested produce is transported to The Pantry after Tuesday's harvest and distributed to the community

This is a physically demanding shift that requires standing, bending, twisting, and spending prolonged periods outdoors (up to 3 hours). To ensure your comfort and safety, please come prepared with:

Sunscreen Closed-toed shoes (required)Long pants Hat Snack / water

Be ready to get your hands dirty and make a meaningful impact at the Urban Garden Center! We recommend wearing clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, as conditions may vary with weather.

Help us create and maintain a beautiful, welcoming space for our community! Volunteers will assist with outdoor projects such as pulling weeds, weed whacking, trimming overgrown areas, and general landscaping around The Pantry and our new Learning Center.

Please wear closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing you don't mind getting dirty, and bring a reusable water bottle. Gloves and tools will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Together, we can cultivate a space that nourishes our community for years to come.
